Hyper Efficiency contains cutting edge leadpipe buzzing exercises that will make the trumpet easier to play. Buzzing on the leadpipe correctly can aid so many aspects of playing- tone, projection, response, intonation, stability, slotting, flexibility, endurance, and everyone’s favorite, range. To my knowledge there is no other book like this available that contains such a comprehensive collection of cutting edge, unique exercises for approaching leadpipe buzzing.
Excerpts from the book
It Starts On The Leadpipe
Many pedagogues have developed routines surrounding leadpipe buzzing. The concepts within are my variation on a common theme: learning to control the leadpipe will result in better control of the horn.

Prerequisites for Maximum Benefits
Exercises in this book are being taught with the assumption that the reader has at least advanced high school knowledge of the instrument. There is no substitute for consistent practice. Like I discuss in my other eBook Flaux Studies, it wasn’t until the summer after my master’s degree I forced myself to sit down and figure out how to break past my ceiling of Double G (G above High C). It’s not that I didn’t want to be able to play above that note before then, I just hadn’t been taking a consistent and methodical approach to figuring it out. If you follow the instructions in these exercises (I recommend a stopwatch for the rests) you will get your desired results so much faster than if you plow through them one after another. If you’re familiar with the story of the tortoise and the hare, it applies perfectly to this scenario.

I’ve taken many trumpet lessons in my life. One theme almost all of them had in common was to rest as much as you play. The exercises are written in the same manner as I regularly practice and teach them. I really can’t stress enough how important it is to pace yourself with these, and to really focus on keeping your sound even with the slurs. We’re looking to eliminate gaps/breaks in our playing, and practicing on the leadpipe is a fantastic way to expose those breaks & correct them.

Final Thoughts
The exercises in this book are my way of getting my chops focused and preparing myself to navigate the horn with ease. I do these (in one variation or another as I feel fit each day) in order to prepare myself to play. I haven’t met any professional who refutes the benefits of playing on the leadpipe.
The point of learning these concepts on the leadpipe is to make the trumpet easier to play. Too often I have found myself, and have heard others fight the horn when playing music. It is my goal as a trumpet player to tell the trumpet what will come out of it, not the other way around. Since developing and mastering these concepts there hasn’t been a day I haven’t had access to the full range of my horn.

…sounds pretty great, right? I believe in these exercises so much I’m offering a 30-day money back guarantee. That’s right- if you work on these exercises and genuinely feel no benefit from them, you’ll get your money back. I would ask you to let me schedule a consultation with you to help you with your problem, but it’s not mandatory. I’m not really worried about it, though, because I know these are like a spa-day for your chops that also makes them stronger. So what are you waiting for? Either you get your desired outcome of making the trumpet easier to play, or you get your money back and can try something else. Scroll back up to the top & pick up your copy! Upon purchase you will receive a link to the provided email to download the book onto your device of choice.
